Everyday at the Forge begins with an hour of personal quiet time with the Lord. We call it Priority One. The men of Unit 000 take full advantage of this time by studying God's word, praying, and journaling. It is often during Priority One that the men find truths which they share with one another during the evening's squad devotions. Then its on to P.T., physical training. Relay P.T. today. The men were divided into two squads and raced each other up and down the hill and completed various body weight exercises . All of them demonstrated great motivation, effort, enthusiasm and teamwork. P.T. ended with yet another teamwork exercise. Each squad had to lift a fallen comrade and move him to the aid station. Life application: When you see a brother in Christ in trouble, come along beside him and bring him to the Word of God where he may be renewed in the knowledge of Christ, bear each others' burdens, and beware of the enemy who walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. The rest of the day was devoted to Saturday Inspection. Unit 000 spent close to 7 1/2 hours preparing for Saturday Inspection. Once again they showed great motivation and ability. Saturday Inspection is a grueling exercise of mental and physical endurance. The Learning curve is steep and difficult to conquer on the first attempt. Unfortunately the men of Unit 000 failed their first Inspection. But they are not easily daunted and we have high hopes for them in the following weeks.
